We work mainly with five types of fabrics: wool blend, velvet, natural silk, cotton and
imitation fur. Whatever the product you buy from Altalena of Switzerland, we
guarantee the high quality of materials carefully selected by our designers.
Wool: Sourced from Italy, one of the world’s finest producers of top quality
supremely soft woolen yarns, our fabrics are proprietary blend of natural (90%: virgin
wool and cotton) and man-made (10% polyester) fibers. These are characterized by
excellent thermal insulation, high abrasion resistance and good moisture
absorbency.

Velvet: 100% cotton based soft material with the silky touch Dry Cleaning is recommended
Silk: Not only silk is synonymous to luxe and sensuousness but it is also one of the
most hypoallergenic materials. Some of its hypoallergenic properties include a
natural resistance to dust mites, fungus and mould, in addition to many other
allergens. In all our products we use 100% natural Mulberry silk carefully weave and
treated at the certified factory in India.

Cotton: 100% natural fibers with tight weave Machine wash at 30°
Bamboo: Exceptionally soft and breathable natural material. The bamboo fibers
expertly woven into our fabric mix, sourced from Italy, ensure soft-like texture,
durability and unique thermo control qualities of the products. In addition, bamboo
has many environmental benefits, being one of the most ecologically sustainable raw material. Machine wash at 30° Delicate programme Dry flat
Imitation fur: Our beautiful furs even though giving impression of being absolutely
real are 100% manufactured of man-made fibers. Sourced from the best producers
in Europe and the US these materials are breathable and very pleasant to touch. Dry Cleaning is recommended
Special: Perfumed pillows. The outer shell of each pillow is made of our woolen or
velvet fabrics. To create a long-lasting olfactory sensation the top quality natural
essential oils have been mixed up in a world leading fragrance laboratory. As a
precaution do not place the pillow directly on the wooden furniture to avoid stains
from oils or bring it in direct contact with clothes.
Pillows inserts: Consist of Non allergenic A-grade hollow fibers. Tested for harmful substances according to Oeko-Tex Standrad 100. Flame retardant. Made in Europe. Washable at 40
